Blowouts have been a theme of the 2017 playoffs and the Boston Celtics made sure to continue the trend after getting routed in D.C. Boston got out to a 16-4 lead to start the first quarter as the Wizards missed 8 straight shots. Avery Bradley did the most damage with a game and career-high of 29 points on 12-19 shooting. The Celtics got everyone involved as four of the five starters scored at least 18 points.
Al Horford got it going early facilitating the offense and making big baskets to pace the Celtics. He finished with 19 points, seven assists and six rebounds.
John Wall and Bradley Beal were a combined 14-46 as the Wizards as a whole struggled to get much going. Boston went up by as much as 26 points by spreading the Wizards thin as they connected on 16 3-pointers.
Isaiah Thomas struggles continued scoring but he did manage to get a game high 9 assists and 18 points. Boston can close out the series in D.C. where they have struggled this season. Isaiah Thomas will have to do better if they expect to advance and face the Cleveland Cavaliers who continue to rest up.
